Hearing Loss

Hearing loss is a serious health problem in the U.S. and around the world. According to the Hearing Loss Association of America, roughly 20% (48 million) Americans have some degree of hearing loss. Hearing loss can have a multitude of causes including, but not limited to, loud noise exposure (occupational and recreational), age, ear infections, genetic disorders, head trauma, certain medications, and certain diseases such as meningitis and mumps. At the Hearing Center, our audiologists are qualified to diagnose, treat, and manage your hearing loss with the utmost care and compassion.

Our Audiologists will spend time with you performing the necessary tests required to diagnose your hearing loss. These tests can include conventional audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and auditory brainstem response (ABR).They are trained to recognize when medical intervention is necessary and will additionally assist you with non-medical interventions.
